I went to a store in town yesterday called Forbidden Planet. I remember going to it a few years back for Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon cards. I went in to see if it sold manga and behold it did. It had some One Piece. I think it had 6-10, 20-28, 30-37 and 40-44. They were selling for £7 though and you can get them on Amazon for £3 each. My friend bought Volume 3 of OP though cause he is collecting them and had some spare cash. They had a lot of stuff there like Naruto, Bleach, Haruhi, Death Note. All the popular stuff then some less known stuff. They didnt have Reborn! though - Anyway, I might go back sometime as they had posters but for manga I'm purchasing online. Far cheaper.

It seems like my 'where to buy anime and manga' thread I made a year or two ago was ineffective.

The Forbidden Planet I usually go to in Leicester Square has absolutely loads of manga. The whole downstairs is full of just comic books, graphic novels, anime and manga. The problem is, as you mentioned, everything costs a bomb. Thankfully they always have a halfprice manga section with a couple of odds and ends. Its where I bought Nodame Cantabile and some of Genshiken. The thing is they put like volume 4 or 5 in the halfprice section hoping you'll buy 1, 2 and 3 first. They're very scheming.

I gave up buying manga in shops when I spent like £100 on only 14 or so volumes. Websites like Amazon and The Book Depository are the best and only place to buy affordable manga. Although with that said I haven't actually bought any manga in months.
