Am I the only one that traded Pokemon over from Diamond to HG/SS and breezed through the whole story line? Saved me getting owned by the Normal Gym's Miltank.

It's not clever, it's cheating. I haven't been on for a few days, don't wanna get owned by the elite four (2nd time)

Used to play Pokemon Pearl and Diamond competitively a while back on Gamebattles. Going to pick up a DSi XL and SoulSilver at the end of this month. I love Pokemon, primarily because there is so much strategy involved (EV, IV, Move Breeding) and it makes the perfect strategy game. I'm annoyed the way its looked down on cause it is Pokemon

I agree, I love that the EV/IV, egg moves, natures and HP types of pokemon are all really important. I got my first flawless IV pokemon yesterday with RNG breeding and it felt like a real accomplishment

Anoo like.
Im slowly trying to breed and raise up a perfect team for online battling.
I tell you what, breeding the right pokemon with a good egg move and good nature THEN getting up EV six times is soso hard.

what on earth is ev/iv and what classes as a flawless/perfect pokemon? :S

Basically, EV is stats you cant see kinda, lets say you train your pokemon on a pokemon which has a high speed stat, when you have killed enough next time you level up instead of getting just +2 on your speed your get +3.
Thats the easiest way i can explain it.

Aha, it does take a long time.
IV is like the the added values when catching a pokemon, so i could catch 2 of the exact same pokemon but one might have some higher stats then the other one.
If you google it im sure you will find a better explanation if you do decide to get some perfect pokemon.
