Probably isn't but it could be because they're different incarnations.

Doc to regenerate? Last time she saw him he took her to some show and gave her his screwdriver. Maybe before that she had to shoot him, or maybe he asked her to kill him.
I dunno.
I don't think Alex Kingston will stick around, we might see a WAY younger River. Doc going to her childhood and making another Amy-wonder would be fun.
no preview clips today D:
na river is a good woguy.
only 3 days to wait anyway.
TBH I think she is this I found on Google:
Instead of a female Jack Harkness, it could also be a child of Jack's. In the first season, on Satellite 5 there is a news bulletin about The Face of Boe have given birth, and later The Face is described as the last of Boe-kind (by his nurse on New Earth). She has the sonic gun and that was used by Jack Harkness in The Empty Child as well. (There have been an awful lot of references to that episode now that I think about it.)
I also like the theory of River Song being either The Master or the woman who picked up The Master's ring at the end of last season.
**Edit:
I went back and watched The Empty Child, since there are so many references suggesting a review is in order. (The Poison Sky-Doctor wears mask and asks "Are you my mommy?", Doctor's Daughter-Doctor is given the same wound on the back of the hand and the becomes a father, Fires of Pompeii-"It's Volcano Day" this conversation happens in the 2nd part The Doctor Dances, The Digital blast pattern from the gun blast seen by Jack in The Doctor Dances, Fires of Pompeii-"Doctor Who, it's more than just a question" etc...). While re-watching The Empty Child I think I found the answer - Professor River Song is The Doctor's Mother.
Over the course of this season the Doctor has "become" the empty child at times. In The Empty Child The Doctor meets Doctor Constantine (aka the constant doctor). This scene is interesting because The Doctor is led by Doctor Constantine, who has the answers, while The Doctor has the questions. The Doctor also says "this is impossible" a phrase usually uttered by those around The Doctor while he gives the answers to the riddle. Before succumbing to his injuries Dr. Constantine says "Before this war began I was a father and a grandfather, now I'm neither, but I'm still a doctor." This sentence could have been said by The Doctor himself, in fact his response is "Yeah, I know the feeling."
In The Doctor Dances (the 2nd part of The Empty Child) asks "...Always are you my mommy, like he doesn't know. Why doesn't he know?" A questions that could also be about The Doctor, why doesn't he know who he really is? The only logical answer is that he doesn't know his parents.
If River Song is The Doctor's future wife why isn't she WITH him? Why does he only come when she calls? Since he's said countless times how he's rubbish at wedding, commitment, domesticity etc... it's odd that he would marry again. On the other hand, he would come when he Mother needed him, he would give his mother his sonic screwdriver. A mother would call her child "sweetie" as River Song calls The Doctor when she sees him. A mother would tenderly and lovingly caress her child's face. She can't be a Time Lord, because they always recognize each other. So she can't be The Master either. He is a time traveler, who better to give birth to a time traveler than an archaeologist?
Dalek Kahn, the last remaining member of The Cult of Scaro, did an emergency time shift to escape from The Doctor. It's possible he will want to destroy the Doctor by stopping him from ever being born; this might be where The Doctor finally meets his mother.
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.
