While I don't agree with the spitting thing, that is one of my pet hates, I cannot bare spitting on other people, I see why these people were angry. Perhaps there hasn't been any stories on what this particular BNP candidate has been saying, but there have been plenty of recent stories surrounding Nick Griffin and what he has said in public about people who are not typically 'english' (or what he considers to be english at least). Having read those stories and heard what he's said, I cannot imagine i'd take kindly to a member of the BNP canvassing nearby. I wouldn't spit on anyone admittedly, but this is the kind of anger their narrowminded, backwards opinions have on people. I can bet you'd find many white people who would be willing to do something similar to a BNP candidate, because the people themselves are often vile human beings devoid of any kind of tolerance of people who are different to them.

If a black person cut infront of me in a queue, i'd think the same as if an elderly person pushed infront of me, or a middle aged white woman, "cheeky little..". Similarly, if I see 'gangstas' walking down the street, not all of them are black, infact the white people who try to act that way make me laugh a great deal more. So no, not everyone is racist, don't try and justify racism, it's never justified.

Nick Griffin is totally right, the guy whos asking is saying 'is it ok to kick someone in the head?' while Nick Griffin keeps saying that, if you are spat on and threatend, yes it is - and to lend a phrase, I agree with Nick.

to be honest i'd have done the same if someone spat on my face. i think its just cause it was a BNP candidate and an asian that spat in his face that was the main cause for attention. im sure many people in london and indeed elsewhere would have reacted the same in that situation.

Two BNP candidates chased an Asian youth down a street then kicked him while he was on the ground. I know spitting in someone's face is awful, but I don't think it calls for such violence.

Oh and the Asian lads didn't fight back, of course not. They all got into a brawl which moved down the street slightly and the Asian lads fought back. They got what they deserved. You can see the one who spat wanted to start a fight.

Even if it was white people who spat at the BNP I am sure it would have kicked off still. Nobody likes being spat on.
