... Just because they can be a nuisance and get themselves permed doesn't mean we want them to leave, so we shouldn't really push them away and I think helping banned members reestablish themselves is a good thing.

That is what I was thinking. It just looks like the person has been unbanned and that can only lead to unrest later on. I don't see why a Habbo name should hold any substance in regard to effectively decreasing the punishment. You can argue that the name being lost isn't the main punishment but it is still one of the punishments that comes with a ban. In any case, seeing a name knocking about that was supposedly banned indefinitely just makes the whole system look weak and gives the impression to newer members that bans are no big deal so they probably won't care about getting one.

No you cant get it back just because you have VIP. You have to come back on another account and prove you are an asset to the forum first which can take awhile.

I am grateful my name was changed, just saying you don't really have to prove anything.
