Oh no don't get me wrong I totally agree, that was wrong in every way. But we are talking purely in sexuality terms here.

I respect the fact he didn't want to come, out by why try hide it?! Do you think he found out he was gay last week? No ofc not. He was probably gay all his life but was ignorant and decided to ignore it. Hes 44, surely he would of been mature enough to say "Hey, yes I tried to keep it secret, but now its out, I want to admit I am gay." No, he decided to try wriggle himself out of it by hiding it and paying his partner.

As he's 44, he was born in a different generation and one that was not so open to homosexuality as it is now. He's probably just aware of those previous stigmas etc that stopped him from coming out.

At least he had the decency to resign rather than carry on like a few MPs I know in my area... grrr!
