Holland is a region of the Netherlands but when some people say Holland they mean the Netherlands as a whole. Done

And I didn't know Holland was a region, I thought it was a country aswell.
Britain is the name of the island which most of the UK is on. Plus a region is something like the "East Midlands" not England.

The United Kingdom is the sovereign state which is made up of constituent countries, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The word "Country" is a silly word to throw around, as it could define both England and also the UK.

Holland is a region of the Netherlands which is a constituent country of the sovereign state which is the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

It's not like England at all. Strictly speaking Holland is just a Western region of the Netherlands but it's universally accept to informally refer to the whole of the Netherlands as 'Holland'. Pretty sure they're all Dutch regardless

Dunno if this was already said, assed?

fail @ post above btw lol

Interesting... Any particular reason? The Royal Family over there are of the "House of Orange"

Not really... Only by how it is commonly refered to It's only really called Holland because of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, the three main cities anyone ever hears of
