An idea towards this by the way. It's what I mentioned in the original awards thread ages ago. There should be just a one line thing in the userbit (underneath posts/gender etc.) just saying something like 'Awards: 3', and the number could be a link to the awards page on your profile.

I don't think we should be adding anything else to the already cluttered main profile page - arguing that people won't look at them because they are on a tab is pretty void really - that would mean the "About Me" section is also overlooked - when I am aware a lot of people have looked at mine as I've been asked questions regarding it.

Also, awards are very much a personal achievement thing - but unless something (like permissions groups) is removed from the main profile page - we won't be adding anything for awards because it's just simply too cluttered.

About Me is completely different! You go there to find out about people individually. Everyone's gonna have pretty much the same awards (until there's absolutely loads available) and I've already noticed people NOT APPLYING for awards they are entitled to so I'm guessing people in general won't go out of their way to look at each other's

Tried it a little on the test forums, the sidebar was getting too large so I don't think it would be wise to put it on here when people have lots of groups too, Sorry.

T... unless "Permissions Groups" is placed on a tab (as well as the main awards - which I have no issue with) then we can have an awards preview on the main page of a profile.

Do this! Groups are stupid anyway and with all the space that will be freed up you will be able to display a good dozen or so on the main profile page


Biohazard might be onto something with an extra post-bit field to just display the number

I still think you should be able to request MOTM, Sunday stuff, and events as long as you provide the link I don't see how it's any different? You only do it if the user requests it.
