Well i guess im not the only person who was incredibly disappointed with the performance by England today?
They scored easily by counter-attack and to be honest that shouldn't happen - not at this level of international football.
Rooney couldn't hit a barn door this summer and no doubt he'll be back in his red strip banging goals in at Old Trafford when the premier league season starts again.
The strong German team made England look like a very very very poor team, to be honest this wasn't our year, maybe next time we'll be luckier.

    Just got in

I can't believe i started the day with so much enthusiasm and believe, the pre-match build up was amazing, but everything just stopped when we started playing. We were piss poor for there two goals, an absolute shocker. And i don't want to be biased but there is no doubt that if the lampards goal had of rightly been given, things would of been much different, we could of easily snatched another before half time running on the adrenaline from the two goals. But no, it wasn't and our defence was forced apart because we were forced to play so offensive.

Theres always 2014! When we won't have gerrard, lampard, rio, terry, james, and rooney will be out of his prime (not that he was in one in the first place) Hopefully Milner and Johnson will grow and become the best players in the world, and Lennon and Walcott put on a good show. But for defence, god knows, Arsenals Gibbs?

So much hype, no performance, like always.

    Hm.. 2014.. maybe:

    --------------- Hart --------------
    Johnson - Cahill - Shawcross - Gibbs
    -- Milner - Huddlestone - Wilshere --
    -- Walcott - Rooney - A. Johnson --

I hope we start playing our younger players because they have a lot of potential.

In terms of the future I don't think defence will be that bad; Johnson, Warnock, Smalling, Dawson, Bertrand, Shawcross, Jones, Richards, Gibbs etc. It's strikers I worry about. It all comes down to whether managers are willing to give the likes of Rodwell, Wilshere etc games if they are to step up at a similar age to when Gerrard and Lampard etc did.

Yeah i don't think Fabio really gave the youngsters a chance. I definately think Hart should of started the first game. I also don't understand why he didn't bring A.J or Walcott? And brings Heskey on when we're losing 4 - 1.

Euro 2012 worries me most- Fabio will have to decide whether to stick with the 30 year olds until after 2012 or just get straight into the restructuring of the squad with the younger talent.

Wilshere is getting loaned out atm, and is playing week in week out at a PL club so that's good for him. In a year or two he'll be ready for Arsenal but it doesn't help that we have Nasri, Fabregas, Diaby, Denilson and Ramsey all ahead of him, and none of them are over 23. If Fabregas leaves, who knows.

Apparently Arteta is leaving Everton because his son has just been diagnosed with partial blindness, and he wants to go back to Spain with his family to take care of him. If Arteta leaves, Rodwell could get his break.

With the strikers, as long as we change do a 4-3-3 Rooney will dominate. We have a few good strikers coming through like Agbonlahor, Welbeck, Sturridge e/t/c but I see Rooney having that position for years.

As for the Euros, I would rather we bring all the youngers, played them, got out the group then failed at the Last 16, then stick with the current crop and prelong the development of the future players and possibly get further.

    Oh great, Rooney!

Can anybody shed any light onto his performance because i just can't?

Tiredness, not enough support?, or just nothing going right for him?
