sounds like a MASSIVE project, these arn't my normal games i would play but good luck with it anyway![]()

why not make it open worldbut say, have a leveling system, and players can only attack people 10 levels above or below them, this would make it fairer on new players, and better for the higher level players
Sounds cool! If you wanna do it properly then I'd probably hire an artist, good luck anyway!
My thoughts as well, the graphics do look a little basic and I think if it were to be a success then you would be best to seek graphical help. I'm sure a few from this forum would help out as its a great little project to showcase your work on.
Do both, There can be an open world for experienced players but then for people wanting to have fun, they can join lobbies?
Maybe have a training/tutorial which takes you through how to play it - so for example, use WASD to move, then the user moves about, next item comes up and so on. Then once they have completed the tutorial they can enter the open world?
What Habbo-type game site?

Yeah they do on the old game I made, this was largely due to catastrophic lag when there are lots of lines being manipulated combined with pixel perfect collision detection :/the graphics do look a little basic
Although I could probably find a way around this now.
Why not have a lobbying system for PVP? And an open world for quests etc?
