Don't know about anyone else but I'm waiting for a few months (i.e. September) to see if Apple produce a fix for the "death grip" problem people are having.
I find it outrageous that Apple don't really care about it, and are instead just telling everyone to deal with it.
Okay, I'll deal with it... By not buying one in the first place
i've been here for over 8 years and i don't know why

They've just released a letter stating it's a formulae problem regarding the signal bar indicator and that they're releasing a fix within the next dew weeks.

Assuming I understood that pr they just issued, this update won't solve the problem I don't think. Right now, when you grip the phone in the wrong spot, it drops from 4 bars to 0, once they issue the software patch, the phone will instead drop from 2 bars to 0, since right now it's showing 4 instead of 2, which is the correct reading.

I don't see how that's going to fix anything, either way if you grip the phone in that spot, it's dropping to 0 (or very weak reception).

    Engadget's post about it

I was planning on getting the iPhone 4 when it arrived in Canada, but with this issue, there's not a chance. If they don't have it fixed (which really, can software updates really fix something that happens when you touch the antenna?) i'll be jumping onto the Android bandwagon. The Samsung Galaxy S looks wonderful.

It's not even that bad. I haven't even got it on mine. It's just the media making more out of it than it actually is.

But it is true though, loads of people with it are complaining. It may not be "that bad", but it's still a problem. And the assistance is as usually lousy.

Have you been in a hole? You don't really get an answer, you just get excuses :/ The assistance of broken products like a cracked screen and then taking it to the Apple Store is good, but when something goes teets up they try to make you look stupid by giving you half-baked excuses. It happens alot when they do not know the answer.

Thats because they have been given a script to read about the antenna problem.

Yes, because every country the iPhone is in has exceedingly poor reception

This formula is a total cover up.
