    Latin because its a historical language and English has roots in it.
    Mandarin because it would be useful as a big language alongside English.

    Most people who study latin can understand it in reading and writing, but can't speak it

    Japanese, had to study it for English and it's sounds like an amazing language and a great place. I wouldn't be able to read Japanese handwriting though.
