    Default iPhone4 VS. 3GS

Which do you prefer and why?

I'm going to get one or the other but my only fear of the iPhone 4 is dropping it, it's too fragile regardless of what Apple say, that glass is SO easily breakable!

P.s. Does anyone know if it's better to buy from the Apple store or the network provider shop (e.g. O2, Orange)???

If you get the 3GS don't get the OS4 update cus it cripples them apparently.

iPhone 4, if you're scared of dropping it, get an good case for it?

Well at the end of the day, the iPhone 4 has just been a mega failure. I think i might just play it safe with a 3GS.

Don't bother with the iPhone 4, it's not THAT much better.

HTC Desire is a fantastic Android rival to the iPhone 4, minus the front facing camera and resolution. Also in a custom ROM they've recently managed to get 720p video at 25fps working fantastically.

What he said really, but if it's specifically between the iPhone 3GS and 4, then probably the 4 and with a case so it's protected when you drop it. Wait until the autumn though, when they've hopefully fixed the hardware/build error on the phone regarding signal loss, as it isn't a software update and they're recalling and refunding people at the moment

That's the 3G. It's fine on the 3GS. And they're not recalling iPhones GommeInc, they are simply offering extended free returns or a free case. I'd go with the iPhone 4 and fit a case to it that protects the back and the sides

3GS is a bit iffy with it though, as it hasn't got quite an advanced processor like the iPhone, or memory if I read the specs sheet right.

You know what I mean, you can return it without hassle over a certain time (up until September I think?) They seem to be bordering on calling it a recall for the bad ones that really do not work, but being a bit quiet about it

iPhone 4 every time, it's more durable than you may think (I've dropped mines a few times and it's fine) plus Apple are giving away cases free with it. iPhone 4's retina display is beautiful aswell, makes the screen on my gf's 3GS look horrible and pixelated. Camera with flash is amazing, it's just a brilliant device tbh. Signal issue can be resolved by placing the phone down for like 5 seconds. Only problem is with the proximity sensor but it's nothing major, the rest of the phone outweighs what's wrong with it. Best phone I've ever had, easily.

Certainly don't buy a Blackberry because they're garbage. And so are Android phones.
