Do you talk to your pets?

I talk to my dog but don't have a conversation with her, just stuff like 'hey, howa you' etc.
I say hello to my cat and she meows back at me

i told my dog i knew it could talk and that i heard him and if he wouldn't talk to me i'd never feed him again

I used to do that to my toys, but i'd say I wouldnt tell anyone except my cousin

I used o talk to my dog and my cat telling it that I wouldn´t tell anyone though lol and it would be a secret but yh all it did was meow then leg it.

Yep, animals understand speech to some extent and like it, so it's useful for both the idiot talking to the animal and the animal I talk to mine all the time!

I talk to my dog yeah but I never have like a full on convo expecting a reply I just tell him like "ah im so bloody annoyed" and "hey mister" - yeah, Idk tbh. I'm just like it with my dog, I'd never talk to anyone elses lol.

I dont think your the only one, but I talk to my guinea pig though, not full blown conversations, but stuff like "Hey Marvin, what you doin'"

I think everyone does, seems kinda natural. I mean you have pets for so long that they kinda become like people, part of the family. If i am like really annoyed i talk to my animals, i think it's because you know they can't talk back, they always listen.

I used to talk to my dog all the time. I do talk to Florence like as if she is a baby (as she is) but you don't really get much of a reaction from a tortoise
