I am drawing up plans for changes in the department (rare values) which will hopefully make the room workable and the department workable, because with the introduction of the marketpalce and the collapse of the Club sofa - if the department disappeared tommorow it would not greatly affect much at all. The sad truth is that and its time it faced it, we need to move from reporting to advice and hopefully that will be achieved over the summer with consent from senior management.

I think all problems though stem back to the site design, let's face it - Habbox compared to the likes of Habborator, Great La + various others is lagging behind in years.

Yep. A major thing that keeps popping up these threads time and time again is the design. It should be the number one priority at the moment. However with Jin being away, no spec is being made. Sadly, I'd guess that a new design won't be coming until around late Autumn.

Dan, I meant the whole of the habbox staff - I wasn't criticising RVR or their staff. I appreciate you are having a tough time with that department at the moment.

Sacha, I wouldn't even bother. It is just posting to cause trouble. Whether or not you are a friend on Jin's is your business and really has nothing to do with the topic so I wouldn't even rise to it.

I just thought i'd post what we have planned to try and make a change, but i'm pointing out elsewhere - most of this problem (the whole site has it at the moment in my eyes) relates back to the site design and the Habbox 'persona' which is dead.

The spec for v6 has nothing to do with the coding ability of the Content AGM - it's all to do with what Jin wants as the owner.

I think Jin should have said to someone "OK, I'm going to be away - take charge of V6 while I am away". Maybe he has, I don't know - but I've not heard as such.

This. Things always take longer due to him being away, he needs to put someone else in charge of it if he can't.

He does not need to code. He is there to manage and I am guessing design. Jin says what he wants and its made.

Its quite a shame really. At the very beginning of this year, Jin hadposted a huge thread stating what will be coming this year. One of them was a new Habbox design which users can customise. They should have begun working on it then with Jin stating what he wants in the design. I dont think its even been decided if they will carry on with Joomla or switch to vB Portal. Unfortunately from what I hear, Jin has not stated what he wants in the designs, so designers are left clueless.

As its the whole design of the site, I don't think Jin wanted to leave that to the GM.

I may be wrong but thats the impression I get. Unfortunately Jin being very busy is hurting Habbox and its clearly noticeable.

I understand what you are saying. Jin is a busy man and he has also said he wants to take his time over the v6 specification for whatever reason. I believe it's because he wants everything perfect and wants to make sure its an advancement for Habbox. We are hoping we will get that soon but I can't put my hands up and say any dates at this moment in time.
