I have long said (sorry to pull the old card) that sierk is the most invaluable asset Habbox has, just because of who he is. He is the manager, the very top of the pyramid. He doesn't have anyone to answer to. A lot of problems many fansites faced was that their owners were often thought of as corrupt, were involved in some webcam/hacking/password scandal etc. As the biggest fansite, Habbox had to seem responsible, and everyone was responsible to someone else, up to sierk.

Sierk was an impeccable public figure and really nobody has ever had a major problem with sierk that would impeach his reputation. For that reason sierk is a large part of the reason Habbox has been as successful as it is, there is at least some perception that everyone has to answer to someone, and the one guy that does is widely respected to be a responsible person.

Also he continues to assume the legal and financial tasks along with Jin, so there is no need for him to be replaced etc. though I understand that many of the posters don't intend for him to be replaced, merely downplayed.

Here's the problem with that. General Management does change from time to time. We want users to be able to connect to names for a long period of time. If the main names on the page change every now and then, it seems like Habbox is in constant upheaval. If the ownership team remains and the staff under them change, there is at least some sense of continuity. So I think things are just fine in those senses.

EDIT: I apologize, I realize that some of this was written as if I was still a part of management...I haven't yet gotten the feel for writing feedback replies as a member, I'll get the hang of it But know that if I sounded condescending, I didn't mean it!

Is that really an asset, someone who's put on the face but does very little? (obviously not his problem, he's got a life ) In comparison to other fansites, yes he wasn't corrupt (as such), but the other fansites owners were around alot because that was their duty, sierk had others around him like jrh2002 and Mizki so there wasn't as much of a burden in a sense, though Habbox was and is alot bigger than other fansites.

The rest isn't really worth commenting on We're discussing cutting down on his name everywhere as it's misleading and downgrades the usefulness of General Management, not removing him altogether as owner. Also, he really should re-activate his Habbo Account, it kinda goes against a few things you've said about continuity, people will no doubt go searching for this sierk fellow and not find any information on him. It's interesting he hasn't pawned the account off onto a close friend to deal with IF and WHEN it needs touching.

That is what we are getting at really, he was famous and he was well-known - not anymore on the new hotel he isn't and even on the UK hotel, with newer generations they do not have a clue who he is apart from only if they visit Habbox they'll see his name which i'd doubt they care to remember.

Yes, as I mentioned It provides continuity and some sense of fairness/transparency. In my opinion anyway.

He should reactivate his Habbo account yes. But I still believe having him and Jin on there is useful for keeping the floor under Habbox users.

No, my point is that the reason he's important is he's a levelheaded figure at the point that there are no superiors, not that he's an ex-famous Habbo. He hasn't really been superfamous for years now.

It's a business. Sometimes business owners just have business managers to run it, they dont need to do it themselves.
But really.. why does sierk need to activate his habbo account?
I dont think it matters that sierk doesnt go on habbo, as long as he knows his business is under good and dedicated management, then who cares really?
