Beauty pageants are a good think i believe , But some times the girls go over the top !

I always wanted to be a pageant princess.
that's just too far.
for example, this past year i did the local fair pageant and placed in the top 10 etc.
i think those kinds of things are harmless and actually that pageant taught me some life skills such as preparing a speech, doing an interview, dressing nicely.
but these pageants where girls are paying $2000+ to enter is ridiculous and is doing nothing for them. it's teaching them to be ***** at a young age (though it does make for good tv)
imo the media is extremely sexual and ridiculously focused on making every teen in the world want to have sex. they include kissing/makeout scenes in nearly any movie or show you watch. most of them include sexual jokes and/or references....more than once. i can't even watch tv with my family because of how disgusting it is. it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. i often leave the room tbh because its just too much.
