    I would seriously consider Dell
    Same.

We stick to Dell laptops and desktops for a reason at work, they provide bang of the buck, are sturdy, last a long time, easy to get parts for and their support is really good.

Nope, the HDMI is for connecting your laptop to a TV to view your laptop screen on the TV

Unfortunately I don't think he is. Think how unhappy I was when I realised I couldn't even connect my games console up to my iMac.

ok so, ive picked my laptop i think; Dell Studio 17. The basics are:

    Intel® Core™ i5-520M (2.4GHz, 4 Threads, turbo Boost up to 2.93GHz, 3MB cache)
    500GB HDD
    4GB RAM
    17" Screen
    Backlit Keyboard

I cant remember if theres anything else. That comes to a total of £788 in total, even after discounts and stuff. Is this reasonable?

also, when would be the best time to buy from them. Ive used a 5% discount code which ends today, as well as there £160 off deal which ends tomorrow. Any advice?
