Oh dear, shall we just get the MODs to close this pointless thread now? You say to Intel "Your post pretty much shows how much people fuss over the iPhone. You'd probably be put into the category of people calling me a showoff for using it in public lol." and then you say to me "do you have an iPhone 4? If you don't then you won't understand.", I'm not about anyone else however this strikes me as 'LOOK. LOOK. I AZ IPHONE 4.

I question your age because you remind me of a twelve year old. You seem like you want the world to know you've got the iPhone 4. You stated you had previous models, why do we need this information? Surely if you had previous models you would have felt the same about "loads of different groups of people that you wouldn't trust with a pound so it just feels so dodgy when making calls or texting people and you start to notice people looking at you", why didn't you create a thread earlier on about the worries you had when you had the other models? Why create a thread telling us about your worries when you're making a call? Out of interest, did you drop signal during these phone calls? Just wondering because I like to hold a phone call without dropping signal.

You say you're scared when you're out. Of whom? Adults? Big people? Is this because you're small? All these things would answer my confusion about your pretty lame moans at the iPhone. Surely it's not Apples fault you feel scared using it? If you 'love' the iPhone why create a thread crying over how annoying it is? Surely if you love it you can get over the annoying things (i.e. being scared of big people) and see that it's a decent bit of kit when it doesn't drop signal, doesn't get bricked by an update etc?

But I do find it bizarre that people crowd round you? From what I've witnessed everyone either has a Blackberry or an iPhone now? It's not the figure it once was, it's no longer 'oh wow!' it's more 'oh right :S'. It drops signal. It gets bricked by updates. Everyone has one. Oh wow? You have one? So does my mum! Hell yeah, she must be as cool as you.

Well I don't live in the best of areas and our school is near quite a few rough areas to. I can imagine that in better schools/areas nobody will even blink an eye lid when someone gets one out but here it always gets quite a lot of fuss made out of it. Like on the last day of school in form, everyone had their phones out but as soon as I got mine out the attention I was getting was just hideous. I was getting pretty much all comments mentioned in my original post all at the same time lol. I'd just love to be able to have a phone that I can use anywhere without attracting any unwanted attention.

Also this is the first technology section of a forum I have ever seen where you actually get accused of showing off for discussing a piece of technology. At least it kind of proves my point anyway that it does attract a lot of unwanted attention such as getting called a showoff.

No no, if you went to any forum this thread may be considered a show off, not saying whether you are or not..

You are showing off so what's the problem? You complain that you get called a showoff whilst showing off and you get called a showoff.

Imagine this forum as a bunch of rich kids (Some of us are) with lots of technology talking about things they enjoy, not things that are the latest and shiniest. That is the technology forum. With the odd exception of a guy like you who walks in and boasts about his iPhone 4 (We all (for the most part) have better phones) and then gets yelled at and then they complain but it all blows over and nothing more is heard of it. That's pretty much what is happening here.

You shouldn't own an iPhone 4 unless you're in an area that doesn't care about it else it's just going to cause problems.

Now I'm off to Waitrose to go pick up some meat from the ~*FRESH MEAT COUNTER*~ for my dinner tonight. Spaghetti bolognese if you must know.

    With Dolmio.

    Light.

Because it tastes exactly the same as not light.

You don't really understand where I am coming from. The people who I dislike having my phone out near aren't "scary" because they are big and I am small (which isn't the case), it's because they are the sort that are from rough council estates who hang around in big groups and carry knives and such. Last time we were out SMB (some random gang) came to royton park, they had all their hideous location jackets with them balaclava type things on started trying to talk to us all. Now seeing as they are the type that will gang up on one person and kick the crap out of them just because he looked at them funny, anything of value you get out your pocket is going to be theres if they want it. Also answer this one please. If having an iPhone is in the norm now and everybody has one, surely it would be impossible to show off with it? Also why I have never got so pissed of with it before is because the iPhone has never been so high-profile. It's like everyone knows what it is now.

Dunno why you're bothered, if this is srs business, you can just write the IMEI down somewhere at home then if it gets stolen it's no big deal, you ring your network's customer service, give them the IMEI and it makes them unusable for the most part.

Haha lol, have you heard of them then or been hanging around with them? I used to think they were alright but I soon realised that was not the case.
