Sticking a thread?

The music section is not there to post new music at all, it's there to post any music, if it was there for new music it would be titled 'New Music Section'.

Well what's the point posting old songs that have already probably been posted :S

The annoying thing is that some people just put the title and the song they don't even add anything to it, like why they like it

I'm not saying that you do this but a certain user just posts really old songs and doesn't add anything to it. Isn't this pointless posting? At least add your opinion or something.

not exactly pointless posting because it has the video in it, contributing to the whole music section.
But yeah it does kinda annoy me sometimes.

Wiki's summed it up really. Sure, an older song once in a while is OK with an opinion of yours to add to the flippin' video might actual be useful. In all honesty, I'm with samsa in the sense that without an opinion it is just a pointless post. Finding a video isn't hard, posting an opinion isn't either but at least it gives the post some character.

Agree with Wiki, people tend not to add why they like the song which they should do!

I do find this highly annoying aswell and they just post any random song they found on youtube to raise there post count!! Maybe if they are going to post music videos, then create one thread with the music videos on instead of 8 little threads with no text at all as I see it is very pointless.

It should come under pointless posting as you are not allowed to post anything less than two/one worded answers (Im sure It could come under this?)

It is rather annoying but it can also be good to hear some really old good tracks. I Know that threads will be closed/merged if there is already a discussion about something going on and a music video is posted as a new thread when it is not needed.

Hey so basically in the Music forum we've had just a stupid amount of threads from the same few users that are beginning to annoy me, and I know it's bugging some other members. Basically, all these threads contain is a music video. Some don't even have text to support whatever is in said video. Not only am I sure that this is pointless posting, but the same individual has eight seperate threads, and the only one with more than five posts is one that me and another forum member had gently asked her to refrain from doing so (she's a new member, helping out the new people and so on).
However it's just getting stupid, as you can probably see from your logs, I use the Music forum a hell of a lot, and when I'm going through it, I don't want to have to see eight dead end threads each with a different video in, and like I said, some even without text in the post.
I've created a thread here: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthrea...87#post6698887 (title could be changed, wasn't sure what to call it). Can we please get it stuck?

I am not sure about a stickied thread but you make some good points.

I don't think video's just posted without supporting text should be allowed. If you like it enough to post then you should be able to say why otherwise it does look like a cynical attempt just to rise the post count which is what I feel you are complaining about as it clogs up the forum. On the other hand I don't think that it should be restricted to 'new music' as further mentioned in the thread as it is the 'Music' section and not just for the latest videos so Iif you really do like a clip or an old song and say why it should be allowed. This is a pretty good thread for discussion though.
