No it doesn't sorry, it doesn't take more skill to use a mouse to change settings on a computer program than it does too train your voice to be able to scream proficiently and correctly without damaging your vocal chords. Just because you don't like a genre, doesn't mean you should discount the skill it takes to accomplish the soundBeing in a Screamo band myself (with 4 others; Ray Mears, David Beckham, Winston Churchill and George Bush senior), we all take it in turn to scream (but we call it singing) and it seems no-one can tell the difference when playing live! Pure brilliance.
Seriously, I'd say it takes more skill to produce a strong Dubstep track (even though yes, it's all done on a PC) than to be a singer in a screamo band. Unseriously, I'm sure I could easily live up to the standards by hiding in a cupboard for a few months, paint my nails black (or maybe red) and then perhaps dye my hair. All I'd then have to do is step up to the microphone and scream (not that I'm capable of screaming, or have been for a good few years) out some terrible lyrics (about death?). Jokesss ;P
i agree with that, but youre kind of doing the same by slamming dubstep but okkk
as an 'outsider' on the whole screamo/dubstep thing happening here (i hate them both) you couldnt say you dont need talent or skill to make either, thats just being ignorant. its not easy to scream and making dubstep isnt as simple as 'changing settings on a computer program'
also if you say you dislike pop the most then youre crazzzyyyy. its like saying you dislike rock, its such a broad term. and as already said, pop just means 'popular', but if you want to argue with that by saying pop music as in lady gaga, britney spears or whoever, a lot of it is so different you cant generalise it into one genre cos its not the same.
i dislike screamo, death metal, grime and dubstep most i think.
you can be my daddy
classical
opera is tht the same lol
put a donk on it ( just go die)
**** in my pants

o and real SCREAM IN YA FACE stuff
Screamo/metal. -_-
Screamo and metal
My musical taste varies.
I love rock of most kinds but i prefer it when I can understand what the singer is, well erm, singing ha. So bands that just scream all the time, I'm not really fond of. Theres a song, i think its Bludgeoned To Death by suicide silence, that got requested on my radio once - and a presenter played it as he liked the genere (it was a late metal show lol) - but that was just screaming and making noises - i can't see how thats music myself, but everyone to their own tastes.
I hate like slipknot yet quite like children of bodom ha. I like a bit of metal as long as its not too over the top, rock and some dance.
I do listen to some rap but most of it i hate - not keen on the whole i'm a gangsta bla stuff - MC'ing I dislike and opera/classical stuff to - well most of it.
I also dislike a lot of the chart music - which isn't of course a genere - i just think a lot of stuff coming out today - e.g. justin bieber ha, is just too manufactured. Its nice when a band with a different original sound comes around.
I mean look at the Temper Trap
I'm not trying to slam dubstep, I love it, I'm just saying like you can't think that tinkering on a computer takes more skill than literally training your body (in a sense) to be able to produce a certain type of vocals. I'm just saying, anyone that's proficient with a computer and has a lot of time can make dubstep, however learning to scream is hard. I've been trying for like five years and I still can't do it properly.i agree with that, but youre kind of doing the same by slamming dubstep but okkk

And I suppose it's not the genre 'Pop' that I hate, it's like the scene. I don't like how most pop groups don't play instruments, don't write their own lyrics, autotune their voice's, release like a single every other work. It just seems like some pop groups who do next to nothing in terms of creating the music (bar recording the tracks) reap the huge benefits and that's just not right in my opinion. Of course I'm generalising, I'm sure their are a lot of pop groups/singers that do everything, but still, idk. I just can't take people seriously when they love pop music. No offence to anyone who says it here though
I know what I'm trying to say, but I can't say it haha, sorry if that sounds all ******
fair enough, but you still cant argue that one genre of music is better than another just because it is harder to do, its just opinion.I'm not trying to slam dubstep, I love it, I'm just saying like you can't think that tinkering on a computer takes more skill than literally training your body (in a sense) to be able to produce a certain type of vocals. i totally agree with you there. i cant STAND 'artists' who dont play instruments, or at least write their own songs. at the end of the day auto tuning happens in a lot of music not just pop will always happen just to make sure the record is perfect, but its when the singer cant actually sing that they are heavily auto tuning because they cant hold a note. releasing the singles thing i cant see your issue with that? at the end of the day thats the labels choice and they are just there to make money out of the artists. i suppose i could say i love pop music because i listen to a lot of it, but like i said you cant generalise it cos there are so many different sides to it.
haha it does mostly make sense to me, pop music is quite confusing![]()
you can be my daddy
i don't hate anything anymore. listen to everything from some really dirty grimey dubstep to "screamo".
