How close are you to your dad?

Seeing as how I live with him as opposed to my mum I would say fairly close. I am a person who keeps myself to myself though, so I am not very close with anyone besides my girlfriend.

Not really that close, live with him and stuff but all he really cares about is the business so has never really had any time for me.

Not close at all, even though my parents are still together. My Dad was, and still is a very strict, and in my opinion cruel parent. Up until I turned 16, if I didn't 'behave' in the way he wanted me to, I would be made to take my t-shirt off, he would take off his belt and whip me all over my bare back with it. I've never really forgave him for that.

Its pretty crazy how like 20% of the people in this thread don't have a relationship with their dad. Me and my dad were kinda close I guess, would see him twice a week or so. He passed away in '03.

He's about 15 metres away atm, I'm upstairs and he's downstairs. Can range from a few metres to a few hundred miles.
