Could be brilliant, although I hope this doesn't mean having to buy it again from steam.

Valve are Valve, they would never pull stuff like that. They'd give everyone, who has already paid, a free copy of the game and a TF2 hat. Because they're Valve.

Personally I can't wait to see what becomes of his visit.

I'm so addicted to this game, seriously. Some of the landscapes that are created when a new world is generated are just awesome!

How can minecraft get any better than what it is? It's blocks. You mine stuff, you build stuff, you have monsters during the night, you have everything that minecraft is. Notch is making more gamemodes so it's going to be better, he's adding scripting so people can mod their servers, he can easily add more block types, he's going to add more enemies etcetc. I don't see what valve can do to make the game better that he can't do to make the game better

Ever thought they might of just decided to invite a developer over to have a chat since minecraft is getting extremely popular plus he's going to be selling it on the steam store

Well Valve have multiplayer expertise, they have Steam support and I think that more work can be done on the game with a full dev team.

Helps with the actual proccess of the coding n whatnot, i imagine its a sizable task to sort out EVERYTHING on his own from marketing to all the bugs, aswell as new developments.

yeh but usually i just use that as like a 'trial' area where if i can see that person aint gonna wipe ****, then they can be a builder

I think many things can be improved, fixed and updated.

The water, for example, can go horribly wrong and flow very strangely.
