    I could have told you all we will have an earthquake eventually. I HATE it when scientists point out the obvious, as if we didn't all know.

    Oh my love it's you that I dream of
    Oh my love, since that day
    Somewhere in my heart I'm always dancing with you in the summer rain
    Doesn't matter what I do now
    Doesn't matter what I say
    Somewhere in my heart I'm always dancing with you in the summer rain

    Britain once sat in the middle of one of the tectonic plates that divide up the Earth's crust.
    The country was being squeezed between an expanding plate boundary slicing through the Atlantic and another running through north Africa.
    Geological movements over millions of years had caused large numbers of "little cracks" to appear in the stressed rock.
    "Think of it as a dinner plate that has been broken several times and glued back together again and you're squeezing it," said Dr Musson. "If one bit is not glued terribly well, then it can give a little."

    We had a 5.2 earthquake 2 years ago, not that bad. A few chimneys fell off.

    But as someone else said - a earthquake of 5.5 wouldnt be too bad - we had one that was 5.2 not so long ago..

    The reason we should be aware of the danger is that earthquakes have a habit of repeating themselves, said Dr Musson, from the British Geological Survey.

    Speaking at the British Science Festival at Aston University, Birmingham, he said: "Even the quake in 1580 was a repeat of a previous one that occurred in 1382, with almost the same epicentre, size and results.
    1580 - 1382 = 198

    1580 + 198 = 1778

    1778 =/= 2010

    Not a particularly habit-forming quake we got over here I feel
