Ronaldo was whining way too much in all of his games in the World Cup this year, trying to get countless people booked for petty crap.
Besides, Messi is a beast.

Obviously they have both different qualities beside them. Though, Messi is a better player. I can't say he is a better player "by far", because he isn't.

The thing that I think separates them the most is their personality. Ronaldo loves himself too much in my opinion whereas Messi just seems to be more down to earth.
