I guess the panel problem is really unfortunate - and let's be honest the rare values department can not be held to blame for that at all. I will make another thread tomorrow, specifically for rare values, as I have a few more ideas to help the department stay successful - as I believe it is key to keeping habbox as popular as it has proven to be over its six year life.
Yea, it would definitely be best for someone in the rare values department to write up an article on the current market and the reason I suggested the rare values management is because they are the ones who update the values on Habbox, the rest of us just report . However, there could always be input from head rare values reporter(s).

There are now two different head rare values reporter roles which are to be implemented from Monday and are staff and content. Although these may change monthly, although I think if two people don't want to swap them they stay the same, it could be the content head rare values reporters who help rare values management (-Danube-) with writing it up, even if it is just suggestions. I know Lost-Shark used to post a thread asking for input because I and many others did give input and he gave credit to us at the bottom of the article.

I look forward to seeing your other thread tomorrow!

I think the thread would be nice to recognized the people who have donated credits or furni for Habbox, there is a selection for this on the website but a thread would be a lot better to manage. I shall talk to Roxy to get the thread going which can be updated by her and myself and other members of Managements who may receive donations for whatever reason.

    Rare Values Department

I'm going to put this out here before anyone else picks up on it. The current values on Habbox.com are currently outdated and this is because due to problem we are facing within the back end of the system meaning the values cannot be updated at this moment in time. There should be a Habbox Today or a message somewhere on the site explaining that to the users. Articles may be a good thing to start doing, I'm sure the RVR Management who are more experience in the whole value business than I am will come up with their view and ideas towards it.

    Competitions Department

I do believe they were going to switch over to using credits very soon!

    Habbox Live

I think the other reason Habbox Live isn't getting the 200-300 listeners mark is because Habbo radios are not what they used to be in the Habbo community and they aren't as popular as they used to be, not just Habbox's. Although that isn't the sole reason why HabboxLive is struggling to keep a certain amount of listeners.
For the donations thread, perhaps work out to the nearest ten how much what they have donated is worth in credits? Then you could have; "xxMATTGxx - x Credits worth of furniture". Also I forgot to add: the date needs to be added to the donations list!

Luke beat you to it on the Rare Values problem! Anyway, I do really think, once people find out (especially users from the UK hotel that will know all about Habbox Rare values) that Habbox has something to offer when it comes to rare values, users may come back.

I totally agree about Habbox Live. I understand radios are not quite as popular as they used to be - especially since youtube and other streaming services are becoming ever more popular. Again, I will post another idea for HabboxLive tomorrow - which I think could help improve the situation it is currently facing!

I think that calculating how much the donation is worth would work, as long as it's calculated by the correct values . Like if someone donated 20 holodices, that would be 120c by the catalogue but would actually be worth only 40c really. So it should then be put down as 40c.

Obviously I know that if someone donated 20 holodice then you'd just write '20 holodice' but this is just an example for those large donations .

I do take screenshots of the trades any time people donate so that could be possible!

I just wanted to make a few points so I didn't read any other posts; sorry.

I think Habbox has been saying they will get a new donation system for MONTHS NOW. I remember I donated a throne to Garion months and months ago and he said a new donator system is coming... Haven't seen a thing.

    And to the competition thing.

I saw the issues that exist with HC prizes. So I donated 20 goldbars to help the transition to credits. I haven't seen them used yet and it's been quite a while, but I am hoping to see them soon in the next batch of comps (start of month usually.)

I didn't notice donations were handled so badly :S I remember back in the past donations were taken quickly and also with alot of praise and thanks :S Might explain why it's gone quiet in those departments. Surely a "hidden" forum could work, which only the appropriate characters have access to view the threads e.g. Department Managers and General Managers? It's only a "security risk" if you make it one, by hiring the wrong people do lally. A thread announcing them maybe a bit too much, but it depends how it is done. In the past, when Habbox created their own website without the use of Joomla!, donations were announced somewhere special, if I remember correctly? Maybe this could be a possibility, with an announcement thread in the competitions/community forums as previously mentioned?

The Moderator point is interesting. To some extent, you're correct, but 8-10 moderators doesn't mean much because you've got to hire people who know what they're doing and are flexible. Hire ones that barely sleep

In regards to donations - we've had meetings with Jins and there's a new system currently being set up, Matt's also looking into the thread idea suggested in this thread.

In terms of moderation, 6 global moderators is a good number and should work well when everybody gets settled, it's worth remembering at the moment the majority of our team is relatively unexperienced, we only really have Nicola & Bolt660 who are in their jobs & know 100% what they are doing, Amber is still a very new Super Moderator and the three global mods only passed their trials a few weeks ago. In the example you gave of it taking 20 minutes to sort a spam bot, the number of moderators was not a problem - as in fact there were three moderators online, however none of them had experience in dealing with the situation - now they know and it won't happen again, it wasn't an example of needing more moderators, we could have 50 mods but if they don't know what to do it still won't get done any quicker, 6 with global perms is an ample number and I am confident the new system will prove successful when we have more than 2 moderators who know their job to the complete extent, this isn't to criticise the moderators either - they can't help being new, when the system settles it should never be that there are this many moderators with little experience.
