mine has been on 1 day and almost 14 hours now. I left my comp on last night by accident...

no wonder my macbook is getting slow

just realised, macbooks cope very well with being on sleep for copious amounts of time, i never shut it down, i just close the lid.

PC's are not designed to be turned off, although restarting them is helpful

yeah i do exactly this and it's fine. the only time mine goes off is when it runs out of battery, i even take it to college and stuff just in sleep mode
