In terms of moderation, 6 global moderators is a good number and should work well when everybody gets settled, it's worth remembering at the moment the majority of our team is relatively unexperienced, we only really have Nicola & Bolt660 who are in their jobs & know 100% what they are doing, Amber is still a very new Super Moderator and the three global mods only passed their trials a few weeks ago. In the example you gave of it taking 20 minutes to sort a spam bot, the number of moderators was not a problem - as in fact there were three moderators online, however none of them had experience in dealing with the situation - now they know and it won't happen again, it wasn't an example of needing more moderators, we could have 50 mods but if they don't know what to do it still won't get done any quicker, 6 with global perms is an ample number and I am confident the new system will prove successful when we have more than 2 moderators who know their job to the complete extent, this isn't to criticise the moderators either - they can't help being new, when the system settles it should never be that there are this many moderators with little experience.
I understand what you mean by four of the six moderators are not very experienced, but I would have thought common sense would have kicked in - procedures should be skipped when something like this happens as far as I am concerned. Bn the user, remove the threads. Sorted.

Your comment regarding the fifty moderators works both ways. Six global moderators, when not all of them are very good would create the same problem. I am not saying any of the moderators are not very good - as I don't know how they all do - just pointing it out!

    ----

Skizzling/(Calvin?) that is a good idea. I will post it in to the thread about Rare Guides

To be fair regarding the spam bot the other day, the first thread was dealt with within minutes by a moderator, more threads got posted whilst the inexperienced moderator was confused about who to contact as no Super Moderator was online at the precise time - the point still stands and I'm glad you agree there.

With only having 6 moderators it is on us to make sure we have 6 good moderators, I've told James he has to run a tight ship and any slacking/bad moderation should be dealt with severely. I am confident the 6 moderator trial will prove successful

I think the thread would be nice to recognized the people who have donated credits or furni for Habbox, there is a selection for this on the website but a thread would be a lot better to manage. I shall talk to Roxy to get the thread going which can be updated by her and myself and other members of Managements who may receive donations for whatever reason.
There was a thread in Feedback with all donations, and it was kept up to date by Mr.OSH, so I am guessing it's now hidden? It showed all my donations, regardless of which department I donated to.

I do feel it's very important to see how donations are used, else members like myself, jrh2002, Wiizzz and others will think twice about donating again.

I know they were donated but I'm going to be honest, I have no idea who has got them.

Same here. I am due to be giving another 250c worth of stuff on Monday, but it is annoying when you never find out how it was spent.

I can't see how james' donation has all gone??

I think cred/furni donors should get a forum badge saying that they've donated, people would be more inclined to donate then...

ANYWAY - about HxL - As soon as I (hopefully) pass my trial I am going to apply for a permanent show in which I will do pretty much what the universal chart show does - hold a poll on the forum every week to see what users want. The choices will be 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or 2000-2005 minus the one I did last week. Then I will hold another poll and repeat.

I also agree people don't tune in as much because of rare values, but I think it is also the DJs. Back in the day, the DJs were absolutely amazing. The youngest were rarely younger than 14/15 (although DJ Nina was 13). All the DJs were known throughout the hotel - and very rich. All those factors add up. Rich - they could give good prizes. Age - all the male DJs had broken voices - a lot of people moan if there are squeaky DJs. And well known speaks for itself - if they were well known, people would want to know them. They'd tune in, go to their parties, try and be noticed. Heck I tried to do that.

So all these factors add up. Tbh, I don't know HOW we can get back to there, but we just do. Maybe bring back some of the younger DJs? DJ Nina, DJ Archie? They would still only be 14/15/16.

It was disgarded (badge thing) last time because someone could donate a stool, it wouldn't help Habbox but it may be all they've got. It's not worthwhile and in a way it's a bit like furniture discrimination (a huge exageration there but y'know).

Age- oh who cares, some may not be mature but some 16 year olds may have not matured. Age is a number and I could not care less about it.
Rich- that's not fair really, iit's helpful but it's not fair.
Well known- well yeah but you can only let in who applies.

I don't like the idea of getting them to return- they will apply if they wanna get in. If they don't care about Habbo anymore, they won't. You can't just say "LET'S GET HIM TO RETURN MWAHAHHA" in my honest opinion.

You really hit the nail on the head here Robbie.

I personally am not bother about a forum badge - although there is already one you can get for donating in money - although I applied because of my habbo donations and got it.

I agree about the DJ's, and while I am not saying only accept rich DJ's, it does help. Sad, but it's true. As a younger user if you see someone has lots of thrones you think 'wow! This person must be popular'. So what do you do? You try and make friends with them talk to them, and are more inclined to want to listen to them. The age thing has been brought up before, and although it got slammed last, again it is perfectly true. I would rather listen to a guy with a broken voice, or a girl who doesn't still play with barbies, than someone who still shares pokemon cards. I know that is exaggerating - and don't slam me, as I don't know what the DJs are like nowadays, however age does tend to impact the likeability of the DJ. Finally, if a DJ is well known everyone seems to love them - or doesn't want to go against them. Look at Vintus on the old UK hotel.

On the other hand, as I have said I am unaware what the DJ's on habbox are like now - however, speaking for myself, I can say I slowly stopped listening when the DJs were getting younger. OR something all of us older users on habbox tend to forget.

    We grew up.

To be fair, the AGE isn't the question, I know kids whose voices broke at 12, but it's WHEN their voices break. Hate to admit it, but I can't stand listening to ster
eo-typical 12 year old DJs whose voices haven't broken. It gets really annoying tbh. And they sometimes talk about really immature subjects.

About the badges - there could be stages. So you could get a badge saying you donated a small furni, then a small rare, then a rare, then super rare? Idk, it's just ideas. Then in coins you could get a 1c coin, then 5c coin, then 10c, 20c, 50c, 50c+?

    Idk...but yeah.

Again, DJs being rich, you can't (legally) just buy a load of Thrones and say you're rich. And obviously you can't mature over-night. But these are maybe things we should consider when hiring DJs in the future. Are they well known, are they mature, are they rich. obviously the decided factor is their voice clip...but if there are 2 DJs who are the same standard, but one happens to be very rich & the other doesn't...go with the rich one...

that's just my opinion. I'm not super-rich or super-famous. I have a nice room, but I could be a LOT richer if I tried or bough some credits once in a while.

And the average age on habbo has decreased a lot as well...the average age is probably 13/14. So many 12 year olds, if we can hook them in by offering furni - it's easier.

But yeah just suggestions, don't hate
