I watched it this morning, and personally although it was quite good, it was a let down in terms of what they left out. To me it seemed really incoherent, but that might be because since I've read it I kept focusing on what they kept out. And two of my most favourite parts in the book were removed from the film, which I was really annoyed about.
Altogether though, it was quite a good film, and was quite close to general theme of the book. Now I cant wait to see part 2
