Neither obviously being the better option He shouldn't have to have security around him 24/7, but in a place like London it's a must for people of his status, unfortunately.

EDIT: Then again, did they even know who he was? He may of just been unlucky.

Obviously with the kind of people in the world there are, he should. However I never said he shouldn't have protection.

I said he shouldn't NEED to.

I agree with bringing back the death penalty, but people who are rich know wht they're getting themselves into.

Whetted they should have to have protection or not I don't care it's a fact they should have it and if they don't their fault if they're targeted.

Indeed, and I agree, unfortunately that's the world we live in, or what London is like

He one of the few instantly recognisable billionaires in the world, he carries £200k in jewellery around with him and was outside the Formula One offices so it could of easily been predicted/planned that he would be there, and he should therefore have security with him.

Milestone what point are you getting at? Of course he shouldn't need to. I shouldnt have to tell my parents where I go when I go out as it'd be nice if there was nothing to worry about, it'd also be nice not to have a front door as it'd be nice if there wasn't the potential of someone unwanted coming in. It'd also be nice if we were all equal, had everything we wanted and live in a free country. We don't live in some sort of a communist utopia so leave your dreaming till you go to bed.

Maybe he likes leading as normal a life as possible when going outside, I wouldn't want to be wrapped in bubblewrap 24/7 either although thats what some people are intent on it seems in this era, with everything to be afraid of and everything to die from.

So he is a billionaire? So to him £200k jewellery is like 5000th of his wealth. So that's like someone with £100k walking around with £20 jewellery. He is hardly asking to be targetted?

Also, might I point out I would never want a communist state - and I made that quite clear. I just think anyone who think it is his fault for being successful is stupid.

If he wants to live a normal life then so be it but I just hope he's not that bothered he's been mugged then as that's 'normal life'. Much like if you're a celebrity, the tabloids will target you. If you're a billionaire, especially a well known one you definitely need protection.

Dan I see your trying to have a dig at the whole health n safety society as ever. However I dont think there's ever been a time in history where one of the richest men in Britain can just walk around without a fear of being robbed, common sense rly.

Few people get mugged. And those that do are often seen flashing their property. Henry VIII wasn't mugged was he?

But if he was the people who did it & their families would have been executed? Different circumstances completely.
