Pointless Posting

I hate this god damn rule.

I understand why it's in place; to make sure people don't just go AAAAAAA to get their post counts up.
But if I make a joke or something in a thread I get a damn PM every time saying it's pointless.

What the hell is wrong with this forum that you can't make a joke without getting a PM? Seriously. Make the rules on pointless posting less strict.

It would be nice if I could have examples to see what you mean. Certainly something time and time again that needs to be checked upon is moderator interpretation of the rules. As long as the post is somewhat relevant I couldn't see a problem with a joke, especially with everyone being so serious these days.

I know Chirs, it's horrible.

I got warned for telling someone they should have used protection if they didn't want hearing aids and it got a pointless post thing and they removed my comment.

No no no, don't make the rules less strict, make sure moderators have a degree of common sense instead. Pointless posting is when a post is completely out of context with previous posts. Some people I have noticed don't understand this. Discussions and conversations evolve and change, and dishing out PMs for something that's going to happen no matter what is a waste of time and effort. People are allowed to joke, and if the joke is in context then leave it. It's a forum for teenagers, not a concentration camp for the undesirable. It's this serious and formal attitude which needs to be removed completely from Habbox, it did disappear for a while but seems to reveal its ugly head every now and again

That's what frustarted some older members when they came here, and they get done for it- when necessarily in the past, it was less so.

I don't think the rule is the problem here, I think it is somewhat to do with a moderators common sense and whether to judge a post pointless or not. For some it could have one definition, for other it may have a very different one.
