A rumour is that the new season is just going to be 26 episodes long though, and there'll be a new 26 episode season every year.

Indeed, but if they did another long on-going series they would just catch up with the manga all the time, so I think multiple 26 episodes series are probably for the best. 26 episodes still takes longer than six months to air though, so it isn't too bad. Not as if it's broadcast for a couple of weeks then finishes again.

Also, wow I didn't know Nodame Cantabile was that popular. I would buy the rest of the manga but Del Rey are ******* idiots and have discontinued it half way through. Oh well, I am happy enough with the anime. The first season of which is THE 5TH BEST ANIME EVER MADE! If you haven't seen it, you're missing out.
