The T-Rex was classed as a rare in the Habbo news article.

I don't think sulake differenciates between normal and super rares.

Pretty sure they do to an extent. They release them under rares or under Limited Edition (which is seemingly becoming more often) or not at all.

Plus they are classed as rare on the habbo image servers.

I didn't say they did. They release them - normal. Or they don't, just give them out as prizes - super.

I have and I think it could be where Habbox got it from in the first place. I may be wrong, however.

I think it was often used back on UK when they gave out rares that weren't released. On this new hotel they seem to give out rares that have.
