Default Areva's [Guide] Scam tricks [BEWARE]

Note: Not sure if there is a guide out lately, so I decided to write one up. If so I suggest you delete my thread.

    Talk to Frank Brain Scam
Lately Iv seen there is a new trend of scamming. "The talk to Frank Brain" is a scam Iv seen a few times in the events page. They offer the "Talk to Frank Brain" at a low price (10c) (Worth 20c) when you trade they do not put this item in, but a identical item in the trading box (which is "The Brain" it looks very alike.) - Always hover over your items and look at the Trade description!

    Removal of coins
Often in Habbo habbo's such as Bmw (Not going to say his whole name) goes around the hotel buying rare's. Example: A T-rex 50c paying 2 x sacks 1 x coin and other goods. When your not looking removing one of the sacks and accepting your trade (Paying 30c) - Always check before clicking confirm!

    Habbo's being greedy!
I like this scam in a weird way,I hate scammers but I do not actually have any sympathy for either partys on this scam.
A User will come into your room saying "Hey do you have any Snow globes? If you reply no. They will ask you to help them and there paying 80c per. (Only worth 20c) Then 10 minutes later another habbo will go into your room saying there selling snow globes at next say 40c (Double the amount) The user ends up buying the snow globe for double the price thinking there going to make a profit. - Well done you have been scammed! The important lesson here is to not be greedy and if a deal seems too good to be true then it probably is, or the user is a n00b.

    Credit scams
There are many Habbo's offering free credits if you visit this site, generally these are phishers and all you get is a nice empty account with no furni Never put your password or account in when you "log off" after going on a site. Close all browsers and start again and visit Http:habbo.com or check the url

    Email scams:
Iv seen so many of these during the years of playing habbo. The majority are very very funny as the scammer normally uses poor english, and tell you to send your user account and password due to a error and you will be banned.

Beware: Some scammers are intelligent. There is a very clever scam Iv seen which can look very very genuine. It's simple, the scammer copys the HTML template of the Habbo template (Logo etc like your update emails) They Pay some dodgey foreign chinese company that offers spoof emails. You can physically send a HTML template asking a Habbo to click here and log on. Coming from [email protected] or [email protected] (Whatever you want) this will make anyone believe this is a real email. Like it's official as it has [email protected] & the template. In fact they can even ask you to reply and it will not go to [email protected] it will go to a inbox application.

EVEN IF YOU GET A EMAIL FROM [email protected] telling you to click here and log in to make sure your still active etc or your going to banned. Always check the url. If it isn't Habbo.com/WHATEVER/ DO NOT ENTER ANY OF YOUR DETAILS EVEN IF HABBO SEND YOU A EMAIL ASKING YOU TO SEND YOUR PASSWORD, DOB ETC.

    Thank you very much.

Really sorry about the typos. I spent around five minutes on this guide. It a great shame it doesn't allow you to edit the thread. Any who really sorry about that, it was a quick write up!

Nice guide mate, I already knew this stuff but it's a really good guide for newer habbos.

Also i really appreciate you going out of your way to make these guides for others. +Rep
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

Thank you for the rep, I shull return

I like to keep user's safe. The game heavily manipulated. The two main things I'm actually good at on Habbo is trading and safety. Always here to help

If you want to amend the typos and re-post I can merge them and get rid of the first draft

one big area you have missed out on. CASINO SCAMS.... and most importantly imposters (clone scams), just a few pointers maybe if you fix these really good guide's habbox could add them to the homepage and add 'Guides' on the navigator. Just an suggestion.

Very good point, I need to re make this guide and merge it. And fix all those spelling mistakes! I will add those =] There's millions of scams though
