I may be in a wheelchair (although not very much)...and I said she's over weight...which is true. I never said she's ugly or anything. That's down to opinion. However looks DO matter in music. It's a simple fact. Sorry but you have to be realistic. Successful musicians are always talented but also GOOD LOOKING.

Plus the main point is she's out so stop crying.

Yeah its true, but wasn't needed to be brang up in the context that you said it "Who wants an over-weight 50 year old at the top of the charts?" is out of order imo. Yes looks play a large part, but there are MANY successful artists who aren't pretty and dont strip just to get popular. So yeah sure, they matter with those who are less talented, but those who are good can break through that with ease.

we actually aren't that upset about mary leaving, it's the way you say things about people you don't even know.
not all sucessful musicians are good looking, micheal jackson for instance, one of the most talented and loved/hated people in the world, wasn't exactly the best looking person.
so dude, take a look at yourself before judging people like you do.

This. When she came on BGT she looked aweful but that didnt stop her being successful. Look where she is now.

Get a picture showing how she looks like a rat and I'll believe you...prove she sounds like one and I'll believe you. But until you do I refuse to listen to you.


She may not be popular with the voters but that isn't much. About 1/50 people watch the X Factor (sometimes more..) but much more buy music. And anyway, if Labrinth wants to work with her then she's going to go far anyway. As I mentioned he's backed various artists and ALL have been successful.

So what if Labrinth wants to work with her. If people dont like her, nobody will buy her music!

Susan Boyle had an exceptional voice. Mary's isn't that good...plus she wants to be a pop star. I'm sorry but I refuse to go with this "looks don't matter". In the world of pop music they do. Maybe not so in other styles of music, but pop is all glitzy, glamorous and about being the prettiest, best looking and most successful. Mary would never fit that image. She wouldn't succeed. Glad she's gone.

oh yes she did, really dislike how she crys when she nearly gets kicked out :L
and robbie, he was still sucessful.
mary has an exeptional voice in her own way, susan boyle has an exeptional voice in her own way, the two ways are completley different.
I don't like susan boyle, but I think mary's voice has a lot of potential, and she had potential to be a pop star, no matter what she looks like.

I think after his full on plastic surgery (ie; bleaching his skin and having that nose stuff and all that)...his career fizzled out. If you look at where he was most successful it was when he was a good looking guy.
