thats really true, i honestly thought this years music was fantastic, very few artists i love who have released records this year disappointed me (exceptions being vampire weekend, wolf parade).

Ghostface Killah has an album out in a couple of weeks so hoping for big things from that to end the year off, would love Lost Tapes 2 to make it before new year too but looks like that won't be happening now

For songs, really too many to mention from just about every corner of music that I listen to tbh, especially in the rnb circuit. Definitely couldn't pick any less than 10 without missing out some huge contenders so won't bother
yeah i thought about ghostface's new album, im pretty stoked for it im not sure if its leaked yet. his last album was a bit too much soul/rnb stuff. and for songs i just did what ive probably listened to the most this year according to itunes lol.

despite being possible the worst album title with the worst album art ever in music history, kanye's new album is definitely my favorite album of the year. i liked it immediately and its growing more on me all the time.

really? i like the title. though if he just narrowed it down to 'my dark fantasy' it could be better but i still like it, i think in a way it kind of sums up the album really well which i guess is what its supposed to do. and the cover just makes me lol... but i think some of the other paintings that are used as alternative covers are nice. its just one of those albums that you can listen to the whole way through and each song doesnt fail to impress me... lyrically and musically, amazing production, so many dififerent styles and emotions... its just a masterpiece

i think its a pretty bad title lol, although ill give him credit that it fits the music. i was just really disappointed that he didnt call it "good ass job" like he was originally going to (which would continue his college-themed album names, being after graduation). but yeah the album is just fantastic, the only song i dont find extremely good (but still alright) is "hell of a life," and the production makes up for the not-that-great lyrical content. it isnt my favorite kanye album, but at the moment it stands as a close second to "late registration." i know basically every critic has said this, but the sound of the album is a combination of everything he's ever done.

    ALBUMS:
    Bone Thugs-n-Harmony - Uni5: The World's Enemy
Nas & Damian Marley - Distant Relatives (although it did feel more like damien marley ft. nas rather than a joint collaboration)
    JME - Blam!
Newham Generals - Bag of Grease EP

I'm gonna take a listen to Bizzy Bone - Tha Greatest Rapper Alive so if its any good, I could consider it in my list.

    SONGS:
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony - See Me Shine (feat J. Rush)
Newham Generals - I'm A General (feat. Esco Bars)
    Ghetts - Artillery
    Lowkey - Million Man March
T.I. ft. Chris Brown - Get Back Up

i was glad he changed it i definitely prefer my beautiful dark twisted fantasy to good ass job, i dont think that would have really fitted with the content. and hell of a life is one of my favourites and i think thats what i love about it so much, its like a greatest hits album because it just has elements from all his previous work.
