Default [GUIDE] Pc Slow? Start up programs slow you down! [Arava]

Slow Pc? Waiting for Panda's to go extinct before your Pc is up and ready to go? Not responding . It could be your Start up programs

There are a range of reasons why your personal computer (PC) is slow

*Your processor could be overheating! (In this is the case, you should clean up your fan. Dust maybe preventing it from spinning smoothly. You can also examine your fan motor and check if its bearings are already loose)
*Your ram is insufficent or not working properly (Defects, or your ram is overheating, get another fan! Or more RAM (If needed))
*Hard drive failing (Your know about this, if you already been to the year 3000 and found out your great great grand daughter is pretty fine)
    * Full hard drive ( You've been downloading too many adult content material! You naughty person! Was it worth it? - Use Disk disfragment)
    * Start up programs slow your Pc down (Your know about this one, because you got your badge on Habbo for watching the Panda's going extinct)

Start Up program reduce the speed:

Step 1: Go to Start > Run > Type in msconfig > Click Ok > Allow program > Go to Start Up > Disable all those application that you do not require to be starting up every time you start your pc > Apply > Restart.

I have a Laptop so sadly, my processor overheats big time as Acer were silly to put a Duo Core Processor and a Nvidia 9500m in a tiny netbook. It over heat's like global warning. Netherless Start up programs will reduce the speed. You could be old school and use the old start layout and be cool like me.

Just a simple guide, for not big computer user's. I expect the majority of you are computer wizz kid's. With all your coding and all... Young people today eh? *Mutters* But on a side note, I do have Level 3 Certificates in IT and Working on Health so Health, IT (No programming, I suck throne's when it comes to that) And if your dieing please use NHS symptom checker. Thank you or call 999 =]

For a simpler interface that does exactly the same thing, use CCleaner, it has the same ability.
Disk Defrag isn't going to sort a full HDD, you need to delete stuff or use Disk Cleanup (or run CCleaner)
Startup Programs - be careful disabling them, google what it is before you do it.
RAM - test it with Memtest.
Overheating - get siw.exe and check temp sensors, if it's over 60 or 70c while doing nothing, you may have an issue.
HDD failing - symptoms are noises coming from it, slowdown in speed, sometimes not accessing files properly, not booting properly if your OS is on that drive.
    AMD Phenom X4 955 BE - 8GB RAM - Asus M5A97 - MSI HD6870 HAWK - Windows 8.1 Pro 64 - Samsung 840 Pro 256GB

Why do you combine 'Full hard drive' with 'adult content'? I'm sure Blu Ray rips, TV series, films and games take up significantly more space.

+1 I have far more "non adult" content than p0rno on my PC... does this mean I'm not a real man?

You don't need telling to know the answer to that dear

I never see the point in these guides as they're usually easily answerable with a quick search on the internet or a thread made asking how to solve the issues, so I can see this slowly dropping down the page (sticking it to the top is a waste of space). However, in saying that, a useful guide for those who may not know the cause of sluggish behaviour.

Yeah i know that but it's a tiny file compared to the large file you would have if you downloaded the video.
