why does s/he need mental help??? because they were so desperate to become a woman they took matters in to their own hands? that's what bothered me about the article. it's not that they need help, they just need support. they don't have a *mental* disorder nor are they wrong in the head, he just wants to be a woman. people do crazy things but it does not make them crazy. hey, some would say homosexuals need psychiatric help and that they're nuts but i'm sure you'd dismiss that...

Here we go again! If someone identifies with a certain gender then it's only fair to call them by that gender. It's like calling a gay person straight all the time.

I'm sorry but cutting your genitals off, a) without anasetic & b) doing it by yourself - I would say in order to do that and not only risk your life, you are need serious mental help. As for the homosexual part, thats more comparable to the fact he wants to be a woman in the first place which I debated in the other thread.

I'm merely pointing out in this thread that to cut them off by yourself and without using anasetic is simply crackers.

i personally do not believe in mental disorders.... you can't begin to imagine what they're feeling unless you're in that situation. it's just what they believe is normal and thus should be normal unless they specifically ask for help. i don't think any mental help would have done this guy any good, he doesn't want a penis and so got rid of it (well his testicles)... doesn't mean he's off his rocker he's just desperate. obviously no-one is gonna agree with me but that's because there's a huge stigma against what people do and why. i don't think anyone has a right to judge until they've been there. he's not out cutting off everyone elses penis fgs or else i'd say he be locked up. plus even though the article says it's uncommon i've heard of people doing this before so imo he doesn't need help. each to their own though. clearly i have very unpopular opinions when it comes to such topics but 'merely' pointing out? no. you were grouping together all transexuals as always being a man. i think you have some sorta vendetta against them.
