Default Any way to suggest things to apple?

I want to suggest something to apple about the iPhone.

Everyone wants a go on them and it can be annoying because you might have texts/pictures which you might not want other people to see so I think it would be a good idea to have the option to set a passcode lock on certain areas of the phone such as messages/media/mail etc

I completley 100% agree with you. Solved the problem thruogh the use of jailbreaking - but it should be a default feature tbh..

An odd feature, isn't it just a phone? I'd hate to have to keep entering a password everytime I went on my phone to see messages. Just don't give it to people you don't trust, as you would with any other device.

    *flame proof suit on*

There's an app for that on Android

On topic: No, there isn't AFAIK, you can e-mail Mr Jobs at [email protected] or something though.

I can't see it being beneficial to Apple though, when interested people begin looking through your phone, if they're like it there's a good chance they might go buy one. If you had a look at a phone and were restricted to half the stuff you could go on, you'd be missing out on many of the cool features and might not buy one. So to conclude I don't think Apple would do consider such a thing as showing people phones is a fantastic way of advertising for them.

How's looking through someones text messages gonna want to make them buy it?

Well it's unlikely on that feature alone but if they're restricted from accessing all personal things that's a lot of the iPhone being made inaccessible. The conversation view may tempt someone from a conventional mobile?

It's a small point I'm making but it's enough for Apple to never do such a thing imo.

I see what you mean features wise, but then this matter kinda has two points of view: Privacy and Showing off. But in the end, we'll always be able to jailbreak and solve the problem if we want to enough.

yeah but you can set a passcode lock on the whole phone anyway which comes up when you simply unlock it, I'm just talking about having one to set to certain parts of the phone
