Everyone arguing that this infringes on minecrafts copyright needs to be shot.
Was doom a copy of wolfenstein 3D? No. They're just the same genre. Granted it looks similar to minecraft but minecrafts charm comes from the whole retro look.

Y'all gonna need a lot of bullets...
I have no problem with games being similar but when you produce a game which only difference is the graphics it becomes to similar, from the videos I've watched you've copied everything straight from minecraft and upped the graphics. You can argue all you like but at the end of the day allot of people will think this. Unless these is some drastic difference between the games, which from what I've seen inst apparent. You could easily argue that about any pair of games of the same genre. 'Omg, Tekken is just a rip of the very fast growing Virtua Fighter! It's just trying to hijack the success!". "Virtua Fighter is just a rip of FX Fighter!" "Fx Fighter is just a rip of Mortal Kombat!' 'Mortal Kombat is just a rip of Street Fighter 2'
Computer games -hell, and movies *and* music, is, always has been, and always will be, about seeing something, an idea, a style, and going 'I like that... but it would be better if XXX'
I just decided to do something about 'XXX'!
Ask yourself, would you rather play Street Fighter 4, or IK+? :-)
Infiminer released its source around its time, they basically said anyone can pick up and carry on/copy. Also if I remember correctly infiminer wasn't ment to be played anything like minecraft is. Your game seems to have the exact same play style. Also, to paraphrase, let's just jump back 18 months in time:
"Minecraft is just a pure rip of an extremely fast growing game. It's just trying to hijack the success of Infiminer! I hope this game dies a very painful and costly death"
I hope my point is made there?
Be more original because right now it looks like a complete copy.
I think I can end your quote right there, tbh.
As I've said - so many times times now - Minecraft Creative *had* no gameplay. FortressCraft Chapter 1 (Call it FortressCraft creative, if you like) has no gameplay. It's a multiplayer building toy. Gameplay comes at a later date.
Did Doom appear when wolfenstein 3D wasn't even released? No.
I think most people are talking about the timing. Minecraft isn't even out yet and poof out comes another game into developement that looks exactly like minecraft except for the graphics
It sort of turns both games into competition before they're even released and makes it look like fortresscraft is attempting to steal the minecraft userbase
I think the main thing which makes it look like is a rip of, is that its basically the same in setting and stuff, same blocks pretty much. If it was made so that instead of being set in the past (thats what I think minecraft is) it was set in the future, it wouldnt be looked so badly at. But damn that is nice water.
The point of minecraft creative, was to create things hence the name  The point of your game is to build things (or as you like to call it a multilayer building toy), looks like we have a snap! Ignore my point if you want to but its vaild, people will see FortressCraft as a minecraft rip because that is exactly how it looks.I think I can end your quote right there, tbh.

I simply get tired and annoyed by people who think that Minecraft invented this genre of game, and is the only example of build-em-up's. Wurm Online has been out since 2004; "Wurm Online is a Java based MMORPG in which the players shape and mold the world they play in, from the ground to the buildings that rest on top of it. The game is totally freeroam and open-ended. "The point of minecraft creative, was to create things hence the name  The point of your game is to build things (or as you like to call it a multilayer building toy), looks like we have a snap! Does that sound at all familiar?![]()
Looks pretty good, I'd consider getting it so long as it doesn't just stay creative, I like the creative aspect of minecraft but I do like to get the resources myself and stuff.

Does that sound at all familiar? It looks exactly the same bar the enhanced graphics, where as Minecraft looks nothing like Wurm Online. I never said that Minecraft created the genre, only that FortressCraft looks like a minecraft ripThe point of minecraft creative, was to create things hence the name  The point of your game is to build things (or as you like to call it a multilayer building toy), looks like we have a snap!
