When I watch some dvds on vlc the sounds is choppy and sounds odd.
It's only sometimes though and it's beginning to annoy me cause I wanna watch my damn new dvd!

Windows Media Player is better for DVD's.

What specification is your computer? If it's a lower spec it might not run it so well, but anything in the last 5 years should do.

Try Windows Media Player if you're on a PC or DVD Player on OSX. If you're on Linux, I'm not sure what to recommended :-)

Ergh what's that got to do with anything? My family's very first Windows 98 PC could watch DVDs, today my phone probably has a better processor and more memory than that did. Computers made from the year 2000 onwards should definitely play DVDs.

I also struggle with VLC to watch DVDs, try Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center

Edit: Download the codecs then? Just search google for "Windows media player codecs" and you'll be sorted.

I've usually had no problems with VLC but I rarely use it to watch DVD's just Video Files.

Try some other players and if the same occurs it could be a hardware issue - something wrong with your DVD Drive - they can deteriorate
