im not very good with computers as i've always had laptops so any help and tips would be good

iMac has everything you need, the quad core bit basically means four processors in one.

Also, if you have any software like MS Office, you'll have to rebuy it for a Mac.

I doubt it comes with all that pre-installed unless you're paying extra for it, but i'm no expert sooo yeah.
