    Default Old People.

What are your views on the elderly?

Do you respect them? Dislike them? Do you think they need to mix more with younger generations?

Personally, I like old people, I some times feel a bit sorry to them, I always like to help them.

Some can be alright and then there is some who are annoying and enjoy spying on you. If I look up when I'm walking downtown I can guarantee there will be an old lady staring at you, once I went down to the park with some mates and its opposite loads of flats and there was nearly a dozen old people staring down from their windows.

I don't mind ones who are about 60 - 75 maybe 80 but older than that and they can be quite annoying.

Some can be ok and some aren't

I don't like the ones who stereotype younger people and watch you. Also when they KNOW you're behind them and that they're stopping you from getting past when they know they could move over a little to let you past.

Also don't like those who expect to be treated with respect etc.. Yes, they should be respected, but you get some who push in at shops and on buses. I like to offer them to go first.. even though I'll be 10 times quicker, thus saving time. But oh well

Oh, and those who actually get buses during rush hour just to do a little bit of shopping. I think people getting to work/school/college is more important than them getting some werthers originals or sumin.

I'm more used to my grandparents though. My granddad is 80 next month, he goes swimming, to the gym and cycles miles every day. Hes more active than me! My mum was just going to invite family and go for a nice meal for his 80th.. but he wants to have a go somewhere where we can have a dance too haha.

So I think my dislike to some older people is mainly due to the fact I'm used to my granddad whos very independent

I love old people, they rock.
I don't like old people who act old, if you get me, like they're all bitter.

I love old old people, they're so cute walking with their stick and all. But some old people are just cranky, those ones I hate.

I think they are adorable! They are always smiling and when you walk past them they exchange smiles with you or say hi. I also this that it is sometimes understandable why some are grumpy because some of them are in pain constantly and I mean wouldn't you be a bit grumpy and sick of it? Also because a lot of other teenager tent to take the piss out of them so they are just use to it and also in regards to what was said about them spying I guess they are just doing their bit for community, This is what my gran use to do becasue it reminded her of her youth and she was looking out for people. I don't think they always mean to be intimidating when they look out windows.

Yeah, I watched a show on BBC 2 the other night, where young people looked after old people at a resident village and,

a man who was old, was getting fed by the teenager, and the teenager was asking just simple questions like, are you finished ect? and the old man shouted at him to go away, but you can understand why, as wouldn't you be angry when your old, and unable of doing simple tasks like eating,
