I think that it's important to spend your last hours with him because it will be the last you have. I don't mean this in any cheeky way but maybe spend less time on the internet and more with your cat. I lost my guinea pig today and I felt better because I was holding him in his last few minuets. Sorry to hear about your cat.

Got a problem with one of our cats at the moment but no-one knows what it is. Her fur was falling out or coming out easily, she never went outside but stayed inside staring at a wall for days on end. She still ate and drunk but never went outside to do her business and when she pee's it usually blood. She still purrs and likes attention.

Sorry to hear. One of my cats had to be put down about seven years back for the same reason. We'd had him since before I was born, so after pretty much growing up with him it was extremely painful to see him go. What's more we just went to the vet because he was ill, little did we know about fifteen minutes later we would be given the choice of having him put down or leaving him to suffer. Never had I cried so much in my life, but he had a good life and I am your cat had the same. As Arron said, spend today with him so he can pass on happy and know that it is better than leaving him to suffer.
