This. There maybe only a few threads but they are extremely popular and there are a fair few Anime fans on the forum.

Have to disagree with the merging of Anime into 'Discuss Anything' sorry Sophie.
The Anime section is actually quite active when you go into the forum.

Not really, the forum has a very small amount of users that are fans of anime, which is why there is such a small and tight community within that one thread.

I'm not trying to ruin it, it's not like the thread would disappear.

I just think it would make the forum look more tidy. ^_^

IMO there is no need for the anime forum, there is one thread used by what, four people?

With it's one thread, I bet the anime section gets more posts a day than the sports and jokes sections do. Everyone seems to forget it's for 'other entertainment' as well, not just anime. People are free to post about books, board games, live shows, stand-up, plays, theme parks, attractions, days and nights out and much more. In truth, jokes and sports are also types of entertainment, so if anything they should be merged with the 'Anime and Other Entertainment' section and it should be made clear what can be posted there, because the things I have mentioned above often get muddled up in different sections of the forum. There's no reason to get rid of 'Anime and Other Entertainment' and I condemn this obsession with making the forum look 'tidier'.

By the way, anime fits under Television and Films best as it is a visual media, but then where are we supposed to post about manga, visual novels, foreign dramas and everything I have mentioned above if the section is abolished? Discuss Anything will just gather a bunch of haters and trolls, the other entertainment section is incredibly convenient and helpful.

I don't think that the forum index is too long atm so i see no need for the anime section to be moved. That said it wouldn't bother me much since i don't currently use it.

Thats all very well but in reality how many new topic are ever created on these subjects? Never. And besides that, books can easily be discussed in the discuss anything forum.

Although it isn't as popular as it used to be, imagine having ALL those merged with the anime stuff as well as all the jokes. The difference is, more than four people actually care about the sport and jokes forumm.

No offence, but it is true. People would not post in the anime thread unless they have a serious interest in it - otherwise they will just get constantly infracted and eventually banned. It isn't about how many people use a forum, it is the fact that there is ONE thread that is posted in for Anime, and two other threads in the past month or so about books - that to me does not warrant an entire forum.
