Yeah but at the time when you left we were without one for quite a bit so I guess that's why it happened that I ended up doing it@sct: Isn't the point of having a Head DJ from every timezone there so that they can do events? Otherwise that just defeats one of the points of doing so (obviously apart from the DJ monitoring jibber jabber). You guys shouldn't have to be the ones staying up late for that :p. Also, I'd be weary to start being overly reliant on giveaways! We aren't relying on giveaways we do have quite a lot of eventy sort of things planned for next week which I think will be announced soooon.
Luckily that problem will soon be solved when HxL merges with Hx. I think it is important to take in to account that Habbox.com is always talked about at events - and Habbox has a radio on it too - so people will still find out about HabboxLive.I know something that Jess is working on currently is perm shows so I think there will be a few changes / additions to them soon probably!
Whenever we have giveaways we always have one at uk/est/aest times. I'm always the one that tends to stay up to 3am doing the giveaway and Jess is on at 9am to do aest giveaways. I just think that giveaways is something that needs to be worked but when you're lacking in furni it doesn't really help!![]()
I'll get shot down for saying this or called selfish but I don't care. The bit about "HabboxLive and events battling out because they are doing too much at the same time" I totally disagree, HabboxLive may be a part of Habbox (yes i'm quite aware that it's part of Habbox before that excuse comes out) but it is also it's own department and site (at the moment) . The fact that we can't have events at the same time as HxEvents is silly. It's all HABBOXLIVE MUST ADVERTISE EVENTS, YOU MUST DO IT. What do we get back from events for sending all the people to their events? Absolutely nothing. Not once recently have I seen HabboxLive mentioned in any events so it's not promoting Habboxlive and then if we can't do our own events and habbox events are not promoting habboxlive then that's when HabboxLive listeners start to fall.
What would you like to see on HabboxForum in the coming months?
Some more bigger events would be good. I know that section competitions were starting to come back slowly and I think that is something else that there could be a few more of. I like the "Quick Quizzes" that are posted in the notices so certainly keep them. When I say more bigger events I mean the sort of things like Big Brother but not big brother because that was too long (But it could work if it was shorter)!
What would you like to see from Habbox Help Desk in the coming months?
More events :p I know they have that separate bit of the room now and for ages they have said "It's great we can do more events!!!" & everyone posted saying it's been said before it's a great idea but events will need to be done regularly and I think i've seen like two or three. It's certainly an improvement and it's good to see the SNQ going ahead most weeks too
By no means am I suggesting that you're being selfish. In fact I agree with you and I actually never said the comment was directed at your department! There needs to be some communication going on, though- it defeats the whole object. Whether that means times are specifically done for your department where events stay clear then maybe. After all, if you've got two events going on at one time you're bound to have less new people going to both events. I think there is a huge battle between the departments. A department is part of one thing, in this case Habbox. Remember that when you are one thing you need to work together and I think there is a loss for more improvement because of this battle whether or not you agree. Both rooms suffer (or at least suffer more than they could), uh oh problem. I must admit I disagree with the fact that it seems to be all "A DJ MUST COME TO THIS EVENT" - when I was SEO I rarely requested DJs because of this. However, also as SEO I never noticed one bit of communication between HabboxLive and Events apart from the DJ requests. There needs to be a lot more of it. And no, it doesn't just go for those two departments, it goes for Habbox as a whole as it really does lose its bone structure and looks like it's unprepared when there's this, that and the other all going on at the same time. I noticed when there was a weekly event on at 8pm (or 7 can't remember) Wednesday there wasn't much communication with the forum, seeing as they have a takeover then.I'll get shot down for saying this or called selfish but I don't care. In addition, I agree with Milestone.
And what do HabboxEvents get back from holding them? Events is the department which does the advertising for the Forum, HxL and the site, we don't have any direct benefitsI'll get shot down for saying this or called selfish but I don't care. I don't think this is worth commenting on really because Habbox and HxL will hopefully be merged shortly, which is such good news. I'm gonna be honest and say I've always frowned upon HxL - it's always been such a distant section of Habbox, lacking communication and everyone pretty much leaves you guys to just get on with whatever. I'm not gonna complain because I know Oli is working on it with recent stuff, but for years I've always been surprised how special themed weeks and events just spring up without any real notification to anyone else.
Oh and it's not an excuse. It's the truth. HabboxLive is part of Habbox.com and departments should be working together to achieve one common goal.. and that is to promote it as much as possible. That isn't going to happen when there's two events running with a tiny amount of people in each.
If depts want a time specifically putting aside then they know who to contact. Otherwise, events is just gonna keep trying to fill as many times as possible.By no means am I suggesting that you're being selfish. Also (this is in reply to sct too) about requesting DJs. That forum is being scrapped and HxL will be asked to mention all events on air (the DJ doesn't necessarily have to visit the room). This sounds perfect to me as it's cutting down on admin work by requesting DJs, adding to panels, etc... DJs can just take a look at the daily events before their show and see what needs mentioning. At the end of the day, I see it as departments working together to achieve that common goal as opposed to "we're doing all this advertising and seeing no benefits"![]()
Agree totally. It was a Habbox Institution. I would like to see more interaction with members by all the staff.
Some already do but quite a lot just stick to their jobs which is not Community spirit really in my view. Controversially I would like to see a spam thread in all major sections i.e. Habbo Spam, Games, Spam, Tech Spam, Sports Spam (no post count). This idea will probably go down like a lead balloon but I do think that
there are communities within communities who would favour this and add to the popularity of the forum.

I don't think it would be right to look at normal staff for not posting, when not even an Assistant Manager posts!Agree totally. It was a Habbox Institution. I would like to see more interaction with members by all the staff.

Would it be possible to add one thread withoit post count? If so, brilliant idea!
lololol
Yeah I also think it would be great if there was the option of a Spam Thread in each of the main sections!
I like the idea of the spam threads although I don't think it's possible to make one thread without post count.
