The emotions that will run through me while watching this show just entice me into it.

I'm boycotting this nonsense. Half of what the UK currently spends on its unemployed will be wasted in one day to watch two unimportant people get married. Bless them, I'm happy for them but it's been really blown out of proportion the bill that the taxpayer will have to pick up.

My mum and family are still trapped in the fifties so are excited to be watching with them all hoping to cry.

If we had a President we would still get the same officaldom ceremonies, just it would be without the British pomp (which fuels the tourism and embodies our constitution and thus our country) and it would be somebody like Mr Blair or Mr Cameron sitting in Buckingham Palace. Now is that what you republicans really want, a President Blair and his first lady Cherie sitting in Buckingham Palace? personally I can't think of anything more that would signal the destruction of our country as that horrid image.

I shall be watching - the monarchy helps gurantee our ultimate liberty, avoids consitutional uprisings/political crisis and symbolises our country.

I can understand that and the masses of tourism money/trade the event will encourage, but I just can't see it being right that we spend billions of pounds on the event to get a return of millions. I understand the monarchy is the only reason Britain is still a tourism hotspot and trade place, but I just don't want to see two people get married on the television at the expense of billions of pounds while my education is trickled down the drain.
