Completely true, but I believe sometimes he did deliver with the Bad Wolf, Torchwood stuff. Saxon and "It's on your back." didn't deliver as such but I still prefer RTD to Moffat's tenure. That's the problem with RTD. He'd think of something far too big and not be able to end it really in a decent way.
I do think they've went a bit over board this year with some recurring stuff but I don't mind a bit more than RTD's era as it gives you something good to look forward to.
e.g. I liked the cracks as it was there but there wasn't really loads of other stuff on top of it, it felt a lot more planned out.
Anything can happen in Doctor Who now days
RTD imo is fantastic.
I found that brain tumour thing to be highly irrelevant in this episode :S Was it suppose to create some empathy? it felt like it was in bad taste too have it there.
Wasn't the "on your back" thing just for that one episode? Or did I miss something? :S
What brain tumour thing? I really must not have paid much attention lol.
She had a clot in her brain, aka a brain tumour
Yeah the on the back stuff wasn't too bad but the whole Donna presses a button and all daleks are destroyed was dire.
The big problem with who at the moment is it keeps going too far. I mean RTD kept having massive battles and destroying all the daleks often with ease. I wish dalek episodes could be more like the episode "Dalek" - 1 dalek and everyone's scared. Millions now and it doesn't matter there's an emergency destroy button
