It's just the same. If you use an enemies product your not helping your own company thus why bill gates won't allow apple products into his household/family.

"Microsoft made a $150 million investment in non-voting Apple stock." sources say it was supposed to encourage competition... not the only time MS have thrown money Apple's way either.

It did from 1997-2003 (Converted them in 2000). It now owns a miniature 0.0046% of Apple through a private capital management fund.
