Talking about sex on the forum

Well lets hope you're not sick to do that in PUBLIC, meaning where there are people, kids, as in town centre's etc. And you'd sure get in trouble if you were reported for it. Obviously it won't hardly happen... And anyway, stop going off topic. It was just a point that this is a teenage site, for kids etc... It's not a right place to talk about sexual things, same thing with being in public. and i dont mean public as in your street or something.

Pmsl I'm not going off topic, the topic is based around teenagers (like ryan) releasing their sexual urges, you went into comparing real life to the internet, so I followed.

And no I wouldn't spark a conversation with a kid about a sexual topic but if I was talking to my friends and they ran over and start listening to our conversation that's their parents fault not mine.

i agree tbh. . . there should be more of a limit on who posts pictures. . . espicially to older members looking at pictures of younger members. . . =/

I don't think she meant talking to younger members is a problem. But in the past certain forum members or shall I call them ex-forum members have done more than just talk to the younger people of the forum and then found themselves with a knock on the door by their local Police force. Not that you have done that and it's a problem, as obviously you haven't.

Oh and if anyone experiences that on the forum, do not hesitate to contact myself or a member of the general management team about such issues. We have dealt with them in the past and also have contacted the Police and so on.

Yes, obviously. All the world is, but if you were to do in public, of course there would be trouble with the police. My point was, that's life with the law and the police, mind that this is a forum for teenagers.

And yeah, you're not going to get arrested for talking about it on here, but there's rules, and proritys.

I've never heard of someone being arrested because they were talking about sex to their friend or to whoever but ok.


Over 18+ forums or any age-limited forums would not be ideal and it's very hard to moderate. People can easily lie about the age and we are obviously not going to start asking to prove their age on a Habbo related forum by sending a copy of their ID and so on to us. I also don't feel it's right in allowing you discuss such content on the forum either, yes you can say most of the members are older but we are still a habbo forum at the end of the day and the target is for young people/teenagers and so on.

I wouldn't of expected mangement to be stupid and not reading carefully. If you were to shout all over your town center sexual things, obviously it wouldn't be allowed... Obviously just to your mates, no one hearing you etc would be fine... but I wasn't on about that.

You never said shouting, if you did then I apologise. But casually talking about it in "public" to the person next to you. I doubt you will get arrested for it.

Obviously if you are "shouting" it then that's a whole different matter. :rolleyes:

That shouldn't be your problem though, if children are lying about their age obviously it's their parents that need to protect them not you. Children go on youtube and lie about their age but it isn't youtubes fault if they watch content that is 18+ it's their parents for allowing them to use the websites unsupervised.

Considering I just got an infraction for exactly that from one of the Super Moderators, is there some sort of policy on this? As there are younger members (as my infraction PM pointed out), shouldn't this be a more stern rule?


I realise that there's the "Do not post inappropriately" rule, but I'm pretty sure younger members & their parents wouldn't want them reading about somebodys sexual exploits... Mild, or explicit. Maybe worth changing that to none at all? Or even creating a 18+ section for older members?

You didn't simply and innocently talk about sex you told a member do go do something sexual in a completely inappropriate way. The particular Super Moderator in question was completely in the right to issue that infraction, and also looking at your other behaviour lately (or-- rather a lack thereof) you completely deserve to be cautioned as well. In terms of lightening the rule retaining to sexual discussion Matthew summarized the reasons why this isn't a good idea quite nicely. Save the mango and mellon talk for a more private atmosphere.

That's your excuse for everything "Be mature, You can use better English words to phrase your posts" that is a load of my lefty, wake up and see reality. I laugh at stupid things and yes I am immature but its far less boring than being a bloody adult. The majority of the people that use this forum are immature get that into your head, we aren't all like you.

My point being not maturity levels but how we speak to one another, you may see it as immature but from where I live it's perfectly normal for my age. (Obviously not everything i say as allot of its a load of me hoop)
